Several concerned members of the Haitian-American community in Florida started the Haitian American Leadership Organization, Inc. (HALO) as a nonprofit organization with the goal of unifying the Haitian diaspora of Florida.
We have notices several resources and talents in our community have remained unknown or unutilized primarily because of a lack of trust and unity in our community.
We believe that by promoting networking and unity will be in a better position to help our community and Haiti. In an attempt to remedy to this significant shortcoming, we decided to start with two community projects.
