Project One

A three-day Convention to be held at the Miami Knight Convention Center in Downtown Miami, from November 18 to 20, 2005. We will have 15 conference rooms, 2 large auditoriums, and a spacious exhibit hall area.

We are targeting approximately five thousand attendants (i.e. 1% of the estimated Haitian population of South Florida).

Individuals of diverse professional and organizational backgrounds will share their expertise in the following fields:

• Medical
• Legal
• Business/Finance
• Project Development
• Media/Civic Responsibility
• Engineering/Technology
• Religion
• Hospitality/Transportation
• Art/Culture
• Education

Private organizations servicing Haiti will also be present. Using a Poster Exhibit Format they will outline their success and challenges.

Furthermore, an exhibit hall of businesses, schools, and universities from our community will also be on display. Our attendants will have plenty of time for networking and socializing during breakout sessions.

Project Two

The Development of a comprehensive directory of Haitian-American businesses and individuals to be published following our first convention. Such directory will serve as a networking channel between our businesses and consumers of Florida and other communities. Anyone of any trade or line of work can be included.

Haitians from out of State are welcome to participate. Our hope is that other States will follow.
